Homicide Watch on the Kojo Nnamdi Show

Homicide Watch DC Editor Laura Amico will be on the Kojo Nnamdi show tomorrow in the noon hour. The topic of conversation is how local blogs and independent media cover crime.

Homicide Watch DC launched at the end of September 2010 and since then we’ve tried to provide comprehensive and continuous coverage of DC homicides. Through primary source documents, social media, news aggregation and original reporting we’ve tried to build an in depth and meaningful resource.

Crime reporting of course goes far beyond homicides. And we are thrilled to hear that Dan Silverman of Prince of Petworth and Doug Johnson of Who Murdered Robert Wone will be there, too.

Kojo’s question about how we are covering crime where we live is a good one and we are looking forward to a lively conversation. If you have thoughts on the subject we invite you to share them in comments here or on twitter to @homicidewatch. Let’s take the opportunity to throw out some questions about Homicide Watch, too. If there’s something you want to know about what we do, we invite you to ask.

And remember to listen to the Kojo Nnamdi Show tomorrow (Thursday) on WAMU 88.5
