MPD is investigating a fatal shooting that took place early Tuesday morning in Northeast DC and killed 22-year-old Kelvin Donnell Brown.

Homicide: 1600 Block of Lincoln Road, NE
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal shooting which occurred in the 1600 block of Lincoln Road, NE.
On Tuesday July 5, 2011, at approximately 12:35 am, DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel were notified that an adult male victim had been shot. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel located the victim and transported the victim to a local hospital. Members from the Fifth District were then dispatched to respond to a local area hospital in regards to the shooting victim. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located an adult male victim being treated by medical personnel suffering from a gunshot wound. The adult male victim later succumbed to his injury and was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 22 year-old Kelvin Donnell Brown of Northwest, Washington, D.C.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
