In brief:

The family of Neil Godleski has filed a $20 million lawsuit against DYRS, alleging that the organization failed to adequately supervise the committed youth accused of killing Godleski.

Henry Diaz-Antunuez, who MPD said was arrested in connection with a May homicide, has been indicted on federal racketeering and murder charges.

Tyronn Garner, a 17-year-old shot on Halloween in Georgetown, died of his injuries. No arrests have been announced. A vigil was held Saturday evening.

Two men suspected of fatally shooting Demetrius Emmanuel Thompson on board a Metro bus last month have been returned to the District from Florida, where they were arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder. Delron Atchison, 22, known as “Dale,” and Vincent Gray, 21, known as “Vinny,” appeared in DC Superior Court Tuesday and were each ordered held pending a preliminary hearing.

Marcus Parham, 26, was killed in a shooting in the 4500 block of Quarles Street NE. He was found inside a building shot multiple times, MPD said.

John Youngbey, 30, was sentenced to 13 years of incarceration for the July 2008 shooting death of Robert Mallory.

Shawn Davis pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder while armed in the death of his ex-girlfriend, Tawana Barnes Copeland. In pleading guilty, Davis faces a sentence of 14 to 18 years.
