Week Ahead

Each Friday, Homicide Watch brings you a list of upcoming hearings in the cases we follow. All hearings are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted. To add an item to the listing, email homicidewatchdc [at] gmail.com. To see scheduled court hearings beyond next week, see our calendar.

On Tuesday, Anthony Thomas, James Brewer, 18-year-old Stephen Page and Bradley Allen are expected for a status hearing with Judge Thomas Motley. Thomas, Brewer and Page are charged with two counts of first-degree murder while armed in the shooting death of 71-year-old Solomon Reese in June 2011. Allen is suspected of helping Brewer escape from court by swapping identification bracelets. All four are scheduled for a jury trial in September.

On Wednesday, Albrecht Muth is scheduled for a mental observation hearing and felony arraignment with Judge Russell Canan. Muth, who was declared temporarily incompetent for trial in March, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his 91-year-old wife Viola Drath. Muth is currently scheduled for a jury trial in October.

Meeko Carraway is scheduled for sentencing Wednesday in the shooting death of Darrel Hendy. Carraway pleaded guilty to second-degree murder while armed in September 2010. His former co-defendants Chamontae Walker and Corey Yates are schedule for trial in July. Carraway’s sentencing is scheduled for 10:20 a.m. with Judge Motley.

Raymond Faunteroy is expected for a preliminary hearing with Judge Motley. Faunteroy is suspected of first-degree murder while armed in the December shooting death of 19-year-old Derrick Ragland.

On Friday, Felicia Jones is scheduled for a felony status conference with Judge William Jackson. Jones is charged with second-degree murder while armed in the stabbing death of Jodie Ward.

Jonathan Fullard is expected for a preliminary hearing with Judge Jackson on Friday. Fullard is suspected of fatally beating his girlfriend’s 20-month-old son, Keyontae Moore in March. He faces charges of felony murder and child cruelty.

Karl Pugh is expected for a status hearing with Judge Motley on Friday. Pugh is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Quentin Ragland. Pugh said he and Ragland were smoking PCP together when a “tussle” led to Ragland’s death. He is scheduled for a jury trial in January 2013.

On Friday, Ray Dicks is scheduled for a felony status conference with Judge Jackson. Dicks is suspected of first-degree murder in the October 2011 death of Eric Kearney over a jailhouse rumor.
