Friends and Family Hold Vigil, Leave Memorials for Olijawon Griffin

Friends and family members gathered Monday evening for a candlelight vigil near Olijawon Griffin‘s Olney, Md., home to remember the teen, who was stabbed and killed early Saturday morning in the Woodley Park Metro station.

Loved ones have also left memorials to Griffin, who many called “Owon.” Washington’s Other Monuments has this photo of a memorial that was erected outside the metro station where Griffin was killed:
