Week Ahead

Each week, Homicide Watch brings you a list of upcoming hearings in the cases we follow. All hearings are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted. To add an item to the listing, email homicidewatchdc [at] gmail.com. To see scheduled court hearings beyond next week, see our calendar.

On Monday, Ellsworth Colbert is expected for trial on a charge of first-degree murder while armed, assault with intent to kill while armed, and three weapons charges in connection with the stabbing death of Robert Wright. Judge Herbert Dixon will preside.

James Fells, also known as James Fields, is expected for a status conference with Judge Ronna Beck. He’s suspected of first-degree murder in the death of Christopher Emanuel Freeman.

On Tuesday, Daren Vaughn is expected for a status hearing with Judge John Johnson. Vaughn is suspected of first-degree murder in the death of Tyrell Avery Swann.

On Wednesday, Andrew Williams is expected for a status hearing with Judge Beck at 10:30 a.m. Williams is suspected of first-degree murder in the death of Junon Tyree Snead.

On Friday, James Dean Adrian Brewer, Stephen Bernard Page Jr, and Anthony Thomas are expected for a trial readiness hearing with Judge Dixon at 11 a.m. The men are suspected of first-degree murder in connection with the death of Solomon Reese.

Judge Dixon is expecting Antoine Little for a status hearing at 10:30 a.m.; Little is suspected of second-degree murder in connection with the death of James Eric Cain.

Keir M. Johnson and Lester D. Williams are also scheduled to appear in front of Judge Dixon Friday. Their case is scheduled for a status hearing. Both men are suspected of first-degree murder in connection with the death of Jamal Coates.

Joshua Mebane and Linda Bury are expected for hearings with Judge Dixon; Mebane is scheduled for a status hearing and Bury is scheduled for a preliminary hearing. Mebane and Bury are suspected in the death of Quadar Muhammad.

Ariston Dickson is scheduled for a preliminary hearing with Judge Johnson on Friday. Dickson is suspected of second-degree murder in the death of Robert Maurice Lesueur.

Judge Johnson is also expecting Felicia Jones for a trial readiness hearing Friday. Jones is suspected of second-degree murder in the death of Jodie Ward.

Jeffrey Mills is expected for a status hearing with Judge Johnson. Mills is suspected of first-degree murder in the death of Juan Antonio Paredes.

Arvel Wills is expected for a preliminary hearing with Judge Beck at 11:30 a.m. Friday. Wills is suspected of second-degree murder in the death of Dewayne Wills.

Judge Beck is also expecting Cydrisse Alvin for a status hearing. Alvin is suspected of second-degree murder in the death of Amber Kent.

Kevon Austin is expected to appear before Judge Beck at 11:30 a.m. Friday for a preliminary hearing. Austin is suspected of second-degree murder in the death of Gregory Troxler.

Joshua Andrews is expected for a status hearing with Judge Beck; he’s suspected of first-degree murder in the death of Darond Lucas.

Calvin Shaw is expected for a status hearing with Judge Robert Morin. Shaw is suspected of first-degree murder in the death of Crevontai Key.

Judge Morin is also expecting Eric Payne for a status hearing Friday; Payne is suspected of first-degree murder in the death of Charles Hicks.

Joseph Peoples is expected for a status hearing with Judge Morin; he’s suspected of second-degree murder in the death of Michael Edward Jones.

Judge Jackson is expecting Jonathan Fullard for a mental health hearing. Fullard has pleaded guilty to a charge of felony murder in the death of toddler Keyontae Osbia Moore.

Judge Jackson is also expecting Laurence Hassan for sentencing. Hassan pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of 18-year-old Latisha Frazier.
