One Dead in SE DC Triple Shooting Early Sunday Morning

A shooting early Sunday morning in Southeast DC killed 21-year-old Alvin Allen Jr, MPD said Sunday evening.

Allen, a resident of Southeast DC, was one of three people found injured by gunshots in the 3400 block of Stanton Road at about 2:50 a.m.

All three were taken to hospitals. Allen was pronounced dead; an adult and a juvenile were treated.

Homicide: 3400 Block of Stanton Road, Southeast

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 3400 block of Stanton Road, Southeast.

On Sunday, May 5, 2013, at approximately 2:50 am, officers from the Seventh District responded to the 3400 block of Stanton Road, SE for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located two adult males and one juvenile male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported them to local hospitals where the first victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead and the second and third victims were treated for their injuries.

The decedent is identified as 21 year-old Alvin Allen Jr. of Southeast, Washington, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
