A stabbing in Northeast DC Wednesday afternoon killed one person, NBC Washington reports.

According to officials, the incident was reported just before 2:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Blaine Street NE. The victim was found with life-threatening injuries and transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.
A message from DC Alerts indicated that a suspect was “on the scene.”
