Troy Quentin Robinson Arrested in Connection with Tywayne Thompson Murder

A Southeast D.C. man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 25-year-old Tywayne Thompson.

Around 1:30 a.m. June 24, Thompson was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 700 block of 12th Street Southeast; he later died at the hospital.

Troy Quentin Robinson, 18, was arrested Friday on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with Thompson’s death.

Arrest Made in Homicide: 700 Block of 12th Street, SE

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the homicide which occurred in the 700 block of 12th Street, SE.

On Monday, June 24, 2013, at approximately 1:25 am, members of the First District received a call for the report of a shooting in the rear of the 700 block of 12th Street, Southeast, Washington, D.C. Upon their arrival, the members located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent is identified as 25 year-old Tywayne Thompson of Southeast, Washington, DC.

On Friday, August 23, 2013, at approximately 12:38 am, uniformed members of the District of Columbia Housing Authority Police Department and members from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District arrested 18-year-old Troy Quentin Robinson of Southeast, Washington, DC on an outstanding arrest warrant for Second Degree Murder while Armed in connection to the death of Tywayne Thompson.
