Week Ahead

Each week, Homicide Watch brings you a list of upcoming hearings in the cases we follow. All hearings are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted. To add an item to the listing, email homicidewatch [at] gmail.com. To see scheduled court hearings beyond next week, see our calendar.

On Tuesday, Judge Herbert Dixon is expecting DeAndre Shaheed, Floyd Neal and Lafeyette Robinson for felony status conferences. They are suspected in the shooting death of 31-year-old Akinwole Olu Williams.

Judge Lynn Leibovitz is expecting two cases: Erik Postell is expected for a preliminary hearing. Postell is suspected with first-degree murder while armed in connection with the shooting death of 24-year-old Paul Aime Tanoh Danzo.

James Sandidge is expected for a status hearing. Sandidge is suspected of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 20-year-old Keenan Jerel Lee in October 2011.

Wednesday, Judge Dixon is expecting Anthony Thomas, James Brewer, and Stephen Page for status hearings. They have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the June 2011 death of 71-year-old Solomon Reese, and have also been formally charged with obstruction of justice in connection with the shooting death of one of the witnesses in the case.

Thursday, Judge Russell Canan is expecting two cases: Marlon Williams is expected for sentencing. In July, Williams was found guilty of first-degree murder while armed for the September 2010 shooting death of Min Soo Kang.

Marvin Moore is expected for a preliminary hearing. Moore is suspected of second-degree murder while armed in connection with the stabbing death of 58-year-old Timothy Benjamin.

Friday, Judge Canan is expecting two cases: Shawn Lewis is expected for sentencing. In July, Lewis pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection with the death of 38-year-old Douglas Farley.

Kevin Walker is expected for a preliminary hearing. Walker has been held in connection with the shooting deaths of two siblings, 28-year-old Jamie Jenkins and 21-year-old Jamahl Jenkins.

Judge Dixon is expecting two cases: Lloyd Bright is expected for sentencing. In August, Bright pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter for the death of 61-year-old Darryl Eugene Sweet Sr.

Demonta Chappell is expected for a felony status conference. Chappell is suspected in the October 2012 shooting death of 26-year-old Stevann Moorer.

Judge Robert Morin is expecting three cases: Arik Sims is expected for a trial readiness hearing. Sims pleaded innocent to charges of first-degree murder while armed and related weapons offenses in connection with the shooting death of 29-year-old Lamar Michael Fonville.

Johnathan Dawkins is expected for a status hearing. Dawkins is held in connection with the May 2012 stabbing death of 33-year-old Dwayne Brisbon.

Todd Green is expected for a felony status conference. In August, Green was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder while armed in connection with the death of 24-year-old Timothy Dawkins.

Judge John Johnson is expecting two cases: Deonte Bryant and Terrance Bush are expected for a motion hearing. They have both pleaded innocent to charges stemming from a June 2011 shooting that resulted in the death of 43-year-old Robert Foster Jr.

Daren Vaughn is expected for a status hearing. Vaughn pleaded innocent to charges of premeditated first-degree murder, felony murder, armed robbery and related weapons offenses in connection with the stabbing death of 23-year-old Tyrell Swann.

Judge Leibovitz is expecting two cases: Delrico Shuford is expected for a status hearing. In April, Shuford pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter while armed and conspiracy in connection with the death of 17-year-old Tyrell Fogle.

Khari Williams is expected for a status hearing. In August, Williams pleaded innocent to charges of first-degree murder while armed and two related weapons offenses in connection with the shooting death of 23-year-old Angelo Payne.

Judge Beck is expecting Kevin Brown for a felony status conference. In July, Judge Beck found probable cause that Brown participated in the shooting death of 19-year-old James Edward Dean.
