Tykia Dickerson, Jonathon Adams Identified Victims From Separate Thursday Homicides

A man and a woman who died Thursday night in two separate homicides have been identified by police.

At approximately 5:14 p.m., police found 17-year-old Jonathon Adams stabbed in the 4300 block of Halley Terrace, Southeast. Adams was taken to a local hospital for treatment where died from his injuries.

Tykia Dickerson, 19, was found lying on the sidewalk, shot, in the 3600 block of Jay Street, Northeast at approximately 8:34 p.m. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died of her injuries.

Homicide: 3600 Block of Jay Street, NE

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 3600 block of Jay Street, NE.

On Thursday, February 27, 2014, at approximately 8:34 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to a call for the report of a shooting in the 3600 block of Jay Street, NE. Upon arrival, they located an adult female lying on the sidewalk suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived on the scene and transported her to a local hospital for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent is identified as 19 year-old Tykia Dickerson of Southeast, Washington, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. (Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 4300 block of Halley Terrace, SE.

On Thursday, February 27, 2014, at approximately 5:14 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to a call for the report of a man down in the 4300 block of Halley Terrace, SE. Upon arrival, they located a juvenile male suffering from an apparent stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived on the scene and transported him to a local hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent is identified as 17 year-old Jonathon Adams of Southwest, Washington, DC.
