Week Ahead

On Monday,
Don Page is scheduled for a felony status conference before Judge Rhonda Winston. He is suspected in connection with the June shooting death of 28-year-old Quentin Lavar White. At Page’s preliminary hearing, MPD Detective Robert Cephas testified the altercation that killed White began after someone yelled “free Khari Williams.”

The trial of Calvin Shaw is scheduled to resume with the prosecution’s case before Judge Jennifer Anderson. Shaw faces 40 charges in connection with the death of 19-year-old Crevontai Key.

On Tuesday,
Antonio Williams is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Judge Jennifer Anderson. Williams is currently held on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with the March shooting death of Andre McIntyre.

James Sandidge is scheduled for a status hearing before Judge Lynn Leibovitz. In March, a second jury was unable to render a verdict for Sandidge’s charge of first-degree murder in connection with the October 2011 shooting death of Kennan Jerel Lee.

Michael Marshall is scheduled for a status hearing at 12:00 p.m. before Judge Rhonda Winston. Marshall is expected to enter a plea in connection with the shooting death of 25-year-old Antonio Mervin Headspeth. Marshall is charged with first-degree murder, obstructing justice and related weapons offenses; he has been held in connection with the case since October 2012.

On Thursday,
Alphonso Cleveland is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Judge Robert Morin. Cleveland, 51, is suspected of second-degree murder while armed in connection with the stabbing death of his wife Claudia Hall.

Ladonte Hawkins, Rico Carr, and Robert Crowder are scheduled for a felony status conference before Judge Rhonda Winston. They are suspected of participating in the 2010 stabbing death of 19-year-old Kelvin Jamal Willis.

Jurors are scheduled to resume deliberating in the case of Joshua Andrews, charged with first-degree murder while armed in the 2010 shooting death of Darond Alonte Lucas. Nearly five months ago, a jury was unable to decide whether Andrews was guilty or innocent.

On Friday,
Corey Saxton is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 11:30 a.m. before Judge John Ramsey Johnson. He is suspected of second-degree murder while armed in connection with the shooting death of Roshaine Henry in March.

David Jamal Wilson is scheduled for a status hearing before Judge Jennifer Anderson. He is charged with second-degree murder and second-degree theft in connection with stabbing death of his roommate, 68-year-old Howard Venable Jr.

Donzell Butler is scheduled to be sentenced at 2:00 p.m. before Judge John Ramsey Johnson for unarmed voluntary manslaughter and assault with significant bodily injury in connection with the stabbing death of Charles Anthony Scott Jr.

Jermaine Brown is scheduled for a felony status conference before Judge Robert Morin. He is suspected of murder in connection with the death of 31-year-old Randolph Scott Harris Jr.

Jerome Lewis is scheduled for a status hearing at 10:30 a.m. before Judge Judge John Ramsey Johnson. Lewis is charged with eight criminal counts including first-degree murder and arson in connection with the fire that burned 4-year-old Samauri Jenkins to death.

Joshua Mebane is scheduled for a status hearing at 11:00 a.m. before Judge Jennifer Anderson. Mebane is charged with 10 counts, including first-degree murder and attempt to committ robbery while armed in connection with the shooting death of 44-year-old Quadar Muhammad.

Khari Williams is scheduled for a trial readiness hearing before Judge Lynn Leibovitz. Williams is charged with first-degree murder and two related weapons charges in connection with the shooting death of 23-year-old Angelo Payne.

Robert Osborne is scheduled for a felony status conference at 10:00 before Judge John Ramsey Johnson. Osborne is suspected of second-degree murder in connection with the daytime shooting death of 20-year-old Vincent Purvis.
