Police ID Victim, Suspect in Christmas Eve Shooting

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in the death of Yamalith Arroyo, who was shot to death on Christmas Eve in the 3900 block of 14th Street Northwest.

Marvin W. Lopez, 35, was last seen wearing a red, white and blue jacket and brown pants. He’s shown in the photos below:

Arroyo was one of four people killed in homicides on Christmas Eve.

On Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at approximately 5:30 pm, Yamalith Arroyo was shot and killed in the 3900 block of 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC. Detectives of Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch investigated this case and subsequently obtained an arrest warrant charging the suspect named and pictured above with murder.
