Wednesday night has been identified by authorities as 30-year-old Moeconi Crutchfield of Southeast D.C.</p> <p>MPD's press release is below.</p> <blockquote><p>Homicide: Rear of the 2400 Block of Minnesota Ave, SE</p> <p>(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 2400 block of Minnesota Ave., SE.</p> <p>On Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at approximately 9:45 pm units from the Sixth District responded to the rear of the 2400 block of Minnesota Ave., SE. Upon their arrival they found an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a local hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead.<br /> <span id="more-3596"></span><br /> The decedent is identified as 30 year-old Moeconi Crutchfield of SE, Washington, DC.</p> <p>Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIME (1-888-919-2746).</p> <p>The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.</p> <p>Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to DC CRIME SOLVERS at 1-866-411-TIPS and to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
