Williams Jr., 22, <del datetime="2011-04-08T15:03:54+00:00">both of Southeast D.C</del> of Northeast D.C.</p> <p>MPD's press release follows after the jump.<br /> <span id="more-3054"></span></p> <blockquote><p> ( Washington, DC) —Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a double homicide that occurred in the 700 block of Yuma street, S.E.</p> <p>On Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at approximately 11:20 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the report of a shooting in the 700 block of Yuma Street SE. Upon arrival on the scene, they found a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. They also located another victim in the same area suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the second victim to a local hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead. He has been identified as 20-year-old Joshua Ruffin of the 600 block of Condon Terrace, SE. The first victim showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead on the scene. He has been identified as 22-year-old Reginald L. An <a href="http://homicidewatch.org/2011/04/06/man-killed-in-petworth-shooting-wednesday-night/">earlier shooting in Petworth</a> killed a man.</p> <p>Less than two hours before the fatal shooting on Yuma Street, another double shooting was reported a half mile away on Wahler Pl SE.
