Brown and Ingraham were found dead Thursday night after being shot in a rowhouse in the 1600 block of 17th Street, Southeast. On Friday, Haythe confirmed that Brown and Ingraham lived at the apartment. He also confirmed that two children were also found at the house, both “under five years old.”
The children were immediately taken to Child Protective Services in normal physical condition, Haythe said.
The deaths were the 12th and 13th homicides in DC this month. Six people were killed in January last year.
Haythe said the homicide count for 2014 is “over the amount we had last year.”
He added that “at least four homicides we’ve had are domestic-related.”
