A Metro Police spokeswoman said this morning that there is no new information to release in Saturday’s Anacostia shooting, including the identity of the man who was killed.
Homicide Watch received a tip yesterday that that person is Antonio Wade.
Officer Tisha Gant said the public information office had not received any additional information on the case since the original report on Dec. 11 and could not confirm the victim’s identity.

Multiple Shooting Incidents in the Sixth District
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating multiple shootings that led to a fatality.At approximately, 2:30 am on Saturday, December 11, 2010, members of the Sixth District responded to the 1700 block of 14th Street, SE for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival on the scene they located an unidentified male inside of a vehicle who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
While on the original scene, officers received a second assignment for gunshot victims in the 1400 block of Ridge Place, SE. At this location, officers located three additional gunshot victims. They also were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Shortly thereafter, a fifth victim entered a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound and advised that he was shot at this same location.
This investigation is continuing.
