Arrest made in the shooting death of Keith Banks

Metro Police today announced the arrest of a suspect in the homicide of 29-year-old Keith Banks, who was found shot on Nov. 12 in the 1100 block of Galloway Street, NE.

Reginald Vance, a 39-year-old man from Brentwood, MD was charged Monday with Murder I While Armed in Banks’ killing, police said.

ARREST MADE IN HOMICIDE IN THE 1100 BLOCK OF GALLOWAY STREETNE

(Washington, DC) Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced today that an arrest has been made in the homicide of 29- year-old Keith Banks.

On Friday, November 12, 2010, at approximately 3:04 am, units from the Fourth District responded to 12th and Crittenden Street, NE, to investigate the report of sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, a canvass of the area was initiated and at the 1100 block of Galloway Street, NE, they discovered a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded and transported the victim to a local area hospital where the victim was pronounced dead.

On Monday, December 20, 2010, members of the Homicide Branch arrested 39- year-old Reginald Vance of Brentwood, MD and charged him with Murder I While Armed in the shooting death of Keith Banks.
