Metro Police have identified the suspect charged in the shooting death of 17-year-old Ricardo Vondell Minger in Southeast D.C. Friday night as Kevin Lamont Clark, a 23-year-old Hyattsville, Md. man.
Clark was arrested Sunday and charged with first-degree murder while armed in the case.

Arrest Made in the Homicide of Ricardo Vondell Minger
(Washington, DC)- Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in the homicide of Ricardo Vondell Minger.
On Friday, January 7, 2011, at approximately 10 pm, units from the Sixth District responded to the 5300 block of E Street, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival on the scene, they located the victim inside of the premises suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, 17-year-old Ricardo Vondell Minger of the 4000 block of First Street, SE, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
On Sunday, January 9, 2011, at approximately 12 pm, 23-year-old Kevin Lamont Clark of Hyattsville, Md. was arrested and charged with Murder One While Armed in the homicide of Ricardo Vondell Minger.
