( Washington, DC) —Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 700 block of Quincy Street N.W.
On Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at approximately 9:40 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the report of a shooting in the rear of a residence in the 700 block of Quincy Street N.W. Upon arrival on the scene, they found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead.The decedent is identified as 22-year-old, Shonell Corriea of the 700 block of Quincy Street N.W.
