A series of violent attacks across D.C. late Wednesday night injured at least eight people, with two confirmed fatalities as of 12:30 Thursday morning.
At least seven people were shot in four separate incidents in Southeast, Northeast and Northwest D.C. Also in Northeast, at least one person was injured in a stabbing.
The first confirmed fatality was in Petworth; MPD Commander Kimberly Chisley-Missouri confirmed on the Fourth District listserve that a man shot in the 700 block of Quincy St. NW had died.
TBD later confirmed that a person injured in a double shooting on Yuma Street SE also died of their injuries.
According the Washington Post, two men injured in the Wahler Place SE shooting have life-threatening injuries.
Another man sustained life threatening injuries in a stabbing reported in the 700 block of 18th Street NE; two men injured in a shooting on Brentwood Road NE are expected to survive, the Post reported.
