Homicide detectives were on the scene of a shooting in Northeast DC Thursday afternoon, after a man was critically wounded by gunfire, the Washington Post reports.
The man was later pronounced dead at a local hospital, reports the Washington Times.

Officers responded to the 5100 block of Jay Street Northeast around 4:25 p.m. for a report of gunshots, police spokesman Officer Paul Metcalf said. When they arrived, they found an unconscious man with gunshot wounds.
The man has not been identified.
