Arrest in 2010 SE DC Shooting Death of Michael Milton Wilson

Monquel Nathan Cook, 21, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of felony murder while armed in the shooting death of 47-year-old Michael Milton Wilson in August 2010.

Second Arrest Made in August 2010 Homicide in the 4200 Block of South Capitol Street, SE

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Departments’ Homicide Branch announced that a second arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of 47 year-old Michael Milton Wilson.

On Sunday, August 22, 2010, at approximately 6:27 pm, units from the Seventh District responded to the 4200 block of South Capitol Street, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. A male juvenile was later arrested in connection with Mr. Wilson’s shooting death.

On Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at approximately 12:30 pm, 21 year-old Monquel Nathan Cook, who was already incarcerated on an unrelated charge, was arrested by detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch pursuant to an arrest warrant charging him with Felony Murder While Armed.
