Terry Jimenez, the first to be arrested in connection with the fatal shooting following DC’s Caribbean Festival, is due in court Monday for a preliminary hearing. He’s suspected in the shooting death of Robert Foster Jr. He’s expected in Judge Jackson’s courtroom (302) at 9:25 a.m.
On Thursday, Christopher Martin is expected to be arraigned on three charges including second-degree murder in Judge Leibovitz’ courtroom (310) at 9:30 a.m. Martin is suspected of killing his mother, Patricia Ann Martin. She was stabbed to death in May 2010.
Ronald Taylor is expected in Judge Leibovitz’ courtroom Thursday as well. His appearance is for a status hearing. He is suspected of negligent homicide in a Metrobus crash in 2008.
Also Thursday, Latonya Hall is expected in front of Judge Jackson for a status hearing. She pleaded guilty in May to felony murder for the shooting death of Michaeldeon Talley in Feb. 2010.
Finally, Robert Carter is expected Thursday in front of Judge Motley for a status conference. He is suspected of killing his daughter, Angel Morse, in Oct. 2010. Prosecutors have until Aug 6 to secure an indictment in the case, unless Motley approves an extension.
On Friday, Oma Crawford is expected for a preliminary hearing in Judge Jackson’s courtroom (302). Crawford is suspected in the shooting death of Ralph Thomas outside a Northwest DC high school in June.
Steven Cephas is expected in Judge Dixon’s courtroom (215) to be arraigned on charges that he killed 20-month-old Dominic Dwayne Kingsbury Jr. while babysitting him in November. Cephas was scheduled to be arraigned on charges in the case in May, but Dixon continued the matter to July.
Also Friday, Jeremy Risper and Kwan Kearney are expected in Judge Motley’s courtroom (319) for a status hearing. They are suspected in the shooting death of Jamal Wilson in Northwest DC in November. An indictment in the case is due next month, unless Motley grants prosecutors an extension.
Kearney is also expected by Motley in another case, with co-defendant Larnell Allen. The men are suspected in the November shooting death of 17-year-old Springarn High School student Joseph Alonzo Sharps Jr. That case, set for a status hearing, has been indicted.
