A 22-year-old Northwest DC man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Jermaine Anderson, MPD said this morning.
Marc Terrence Tapp is expected to be charged with first-degree murder while armed.

Arrest Made in the Homicide of Jermaine Anderson
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of 19 year-old Jermaine Anderson.
On Sunday, May 8, 2011, at approximately 1:00 am, units from the Fifth District responded to the 1800 block of Central Place, NE for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival on the scene, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
On Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at approximately 4:20 pm, members from the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 22 year-old Marc Terrence Tapp of Northwest, Washington, DC, pursuant to a DC Superior Court warrant charging him with First Degree Murder while Armed.
