Double Shooting Friday Kills Christopher Emanuel Freeman



A double shooting at about 3 a.m. Friday killed 28 year-old Christopher Emanuel Freeman of Southeast, DC, MPD reports.

Freeman was found shot in an ally in the 300 block of 34th Street Southeast and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was taken to a hospital and MPD did not comment on that person’s condition.

Homicide: 300 Block 34th Street, SE

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal shooting which occurred in the 300 block of 34th Street, SE.

On Friday August 5, 2011, at approximately 3:00 am, units from the Sixth District responded to the 300 block of 34th Street, SE to investigate the sounds of gunshots. Upon their arrival, they observed a male in the alley suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and determined that the victim had no signs consistent with life.

The decedent has been identified as 28 year-old Christopher Emanuel Freeman of Southeast, DC

A second victim was also wounded and transported to an area hospital.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
