Arrest Made in the Homicide of Charles Hicks
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest was made in the fatal stabbing which occurred in the 2600 block of Douglas Road, SE.
On Sunday, June 19, 2011, at approximately 1:22 am, units from the Seventh District responded to the 2600 block of Douglas Road, SE for the report of a stabbing. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located an adult male victim suffering from apparent stab wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 53 year-old Charles Hicks of Southeast, Washington, DC.
On Monday, August 8, 2011 at approximately 11:45 pm members from the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 31-year-old Terrance McNeil of Southeast, DC, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
