Donald Harry McCorkle was arrested today in connection with the shooting death of Bruce Parker in March, MPD says.
McCorkle, 45, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder while armed.

Arrest Made in the Homicide in the 1300 block of Bryant Street, NE
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of Bruce Parker.
On Monday, March 28, 2011, at approximately 10:15 pm., units from the Fifth District were dispatched to the 1300 block of Bryant Street, NE., to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Personnel from the DC Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
The decedent was identified as 47 year-old Bruce Parker of Northeast, DC.
On Thursday, October 6, 2011 at approximately 9:00 am, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested and charged 45-year-old Donald Harry McCorkle of Northeast, DC, with Murder Two While Armed pursuant to an arrest warrant.
