NBC reporter Charlie Bragale and WUSA staff both report that a man has died following a shooting near Truxton Park.

A DCAlert states that the shooting was reported at 8:35 p.m. a Lookout was issued for a black male wearing a blue hoody and blue jeans.

A police spokesperson said the shooting happened about 8:08 p.m. Monday.
A man was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries. He was later declared dead.
The shooting is near where Bill Mitchell was killed in January.
