The victim of a fatal stabbing that took place Sunday evening in Northeast DC has been identified as 31-year-old Jawan Parker.
Police are searching for a black woman in her late 20’s, approximately 5 feet 7 inches, with brown hair, wearing a green jacket and blue jeans. They say she is a suspect in the case.

Homicide: 1900 Block of I Street, NE
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal stabbing which occurred in the 1900 block of I Street, NE.
On Sunday, October 16, 2011 at approximately 8:20 pm, units from the Fifth District responded to the 1900 block of I Street, NE, for the report of a stabbing. Upon their arrival, they located a male suffering from stab wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 31 year-old Jawan Parker of Northeast, Washington, DC.
The suspect is described as a black female, in her late 20s, approximately 5 feet 7 inches, with brown hair, wearing a green jacket and blue jeans.
