H Street’s popular bar the Argonaut had this story about Silvestre Antonio Perez-Agustine, whom they identified as Tony Perez, on their blog today.
We are mourning the loss of Tony. He was a good friend to many of our staff and literally helped build/maintain the Argonaut.
He was murdered early Monday morning and we can only hope he didn’t suffer too much. Our thoughts are with his family and friends (near and far).We very much agree with these words from Ricardo Vergara (H Street Country Club): “We stood on the shoulders of hard working people like Tony to get where we are. He always smiled and nerver complained when carring the weight. How tragic and sad to lose him so soon but how thankful I am to have met him. I’ll never forget him.”
According to his Facebook profile, Perez would have turned 22 years old on Nov. 26.
