Next’s weeks events are after the jump.
On Wednesday John William Smith is expected for a preliminary hearing, with Judge Ronna Beck. Smith is suspected of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Elaine Coleman.
On Friday, Brian Gaither and Johnnie Sweets are expected for a status hearing with Judge William Jackson. They are suspected of first-degree murder in the death of Latisha Frazier.
Judge Jackson is also expecting Tarkeyshia Brown for a preliminary hearing. Brown is suspected of first-degree murder while armed in the stabbing death of Jawan Parker.
Judge Thomas Motley is expecting two men for preliminary hearings: Stephen Barnes and Terry Johnson. Barnes is suspected of first-degree murder while armed in the shooting death of Stephon Emmanuel Way. Johnson is suspected of first-degree murder while armed in the shooting death of Andre Wiggins.
Derek Johnson is expected for sentencing with Judge Lynn Leibovitz. Johnson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for fatally stabbing fellow teen Jamar Freeman.
