A 21-year-old Southeast DC man was killed in a shooting on Call Place SE early Tuesday morning, MPD said in a press release.
The victim was identified as Lamar Marquel Walker.

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal shooting which occurred in the 4900 block of Call Place, SE.
On Tuesday, February 14th, 2011, at approximately 12:51 am, units from the Sixth District responded to the 300 block of 50th Street, Southeast for the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon their arrival, they located the victim, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 5000 block of Call Place, Southeast. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. The victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The investigation has revealed that the shooting occurred in the 4900 block of Call Place, SE.
The decedent has been identified as 21 year-old Lamar Marquel Walker of Southeast, Washington, DC. The victim was subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the State of Maryland in Baltimore pending an autopsy.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
