An early evening shooting in Northeast DC Thursday night seriously injured one man, possibly killing him, police and media reports say.
In a message on the Fourth District MPD listserv, Commander Kimberly Chisley-Missouri wrote:
Shortly before 6:30pm this evening, units received a call for a shooting at 10th and Gallatin Sts NE. Upon arrival, an adult male was located suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced. This case is being investigated by Detectives of the Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.
WUSA reported late Thursday evening that the case was a homicide.
