Library Stabbing Victim IDed as James Barrington Johnson

The victim of a fatal stabbing last weekend in Brookland has been identified as James Barrington Johnson, MPD said.

Johnson was killed in a stabbing early Sunday morning at The Library nightclub near Catholic University.

Decedent Identified in Homicide in the 3500 Block of 12th Street, NE

(Washington, DC) – Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have identified the decedent in the fatal stabbing that occurred in the 3500 block of 12th Street, NE, on March 18, 2012.

On Sunday, March 18, 2012, at approximately 2:27 am, officers from the Fifth District responded to the 3500 block of 12th Street, NE for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from a stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 34 year-old James Barrington Johnson of no fixed address.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
