George Hardy was shot and killed Tuesday night in the 3300 block of 14th Place of Southeast DC.
Aaron Henderson was found in a Trinidad alley suffering from blunt force injuries to his head late Wednesday night. He died and MPD said the death was being investigated as a homicide. MPD later said that the case had not yet been ruled a homicide.
Marine Philip Bushong was killed on Barracks Row in Southeast DC early Saturday morning. A fellow Marine, Michael Joseph Poth, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with the case. MPD said that Poth may have said a “homophobic slur” before the stabbing.
Two 17-year-olds, charged as juveniles, were arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder while armed in connection with the January 2011 shooting death of 16-year-old Bryant Morillo. One is the teens is reported to have confessed to the the crime.
John Smith was sentenced to 26 years in prison for the stabbing death of Elaine Coleman, who was found dead in her apartment on Dec. 4.
Ricardo Mitchell pled innocent Wednesday in the shooting death of Wyatt Earp Robinson; Fox5 reported last week that Mitchell’s girlfriend, a police officer, has pled guilty to charges connected to the case. Mitchell is charged with first-degree murder while armed with the aggravating circumstance that the murder was “especially heinous, atrocious, or cruel.”
Marcus McLean pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of second-degree murder while armed in the stabbing death of Delando King in Northwest DC.
