A man died after being shot Saturday afternoon on Kenilworth Terrace, the Washington Post reports.
The homicide was first reported by Alan Henney on Twitter:
U/D DC: 776 Kenilworth Terr NE is a confirmed HOMICIDE. SWAT team has been canceled.

Henney later added that the man was found shot in a stairwell of an apartment building on the street.
Other tweets from the scene stated that a barricade had been set up at the scene.
The Washington Post reported:
A police spokesman said a barricade was set up because officers believed a gunman may have still been at the scene, but no person was found.
