Video Shows “Person of Interest” in Fatal SE DC Stabbing of Pregnant Woman

MPD today released a video of a “person of interest” in the stabbing death of baby Kuron Rashad Hunt, who was delivered after his mother was stabbed in the abdomen.

The person, a black male, is seen in the video walking through a parking lot and then down onto a sidewalk. He is wearing what appears to be light-colored jeans and a blue jacket.

Person of Interest Sought
In the Homicide of infant Kuron Hunt

( Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Special Victim’s Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to identify and locate a person of interest in connection with the homicide of infant Kuron Hunt that occurred in the 4200 block of 9th Street, SE.

On Thursday, March 22, 2012 at approximately 2:30 am, officers from the Seventh District responded to the 4200 block of 9th Street, SE, to investigate the report of a stabbing inside the location. Upon their arrival, they located a pregnant adult female victim suffering from an apparent stab wound. Personnel from the DC Fire and Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital.

On Friday, March 23, 2012, infant Kuron Hunt was delivered and later pronounced dead. An autopsy was conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the manner of death has been ruled a homicide and the cause of death was stab wound to the torso.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
