Video Shows “Person of Interest” in Dwayne Brisbon’s Florida Ave. Stabbing Death

MPD today released a video of a “person if interest” connected to a fatal stabbing that occurred in the 400 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest on May 1.

The stabbing killed 33-year-old Dwayne Edward Brisbon. Watch the video here.

The video shows two men walking together down the street. One person is blurred. The other appears to be a large man with a beard.

Person of Interest Sought in Homicide in the 400 block of Florida Avenue, NW

(Washington, DC)- The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in identifying an individual depicted walking on the sidewalk in this video http://youtu.be/u5B3fKF86dQ.The subject is a person of interest in the investigation of the homicide of 33 year-old Dwayne Edward Brisbon of Upper Marlboro, MD.

On Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at approximately 2:15 am, members from the Third District responded to the 500 block of Florida Avenue, NW for the report of a vehicle accident. Upon their arrival, they located an adult male, inside a vehicle, suffering from an apparent stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The investigation has revealed that the stabbing occurred in the 400 block of Florida Avenue, NW.

Anyone who has knowledge of this case, knows the subject’s identity or sees him should take no action, but should immediately call police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
