Antwan Lamont Petty Killed in Saturday Evening SE DC Shooting

A 19-year-old DC man was killed Saturday night in a shooting in Southeast DC.

The victim was identified as Antwan Lamont Petty in a press release from MPD.

Homicide in the 1200 block of Trenton Place, SE

(Washington, DC)- Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal shooting which occurred in the 1200 block of Trenton Place, SE

On Saturday, June 2, 2012, at approximately 9:02 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to a call for a shooting in the 1200 block of Trenton Place, SE. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and determined that the victim had no signs consistent with life. The victim was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where he was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 19-year-old Antwan Lamont Petty.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
