Cydrisse Marcha-Marie Alvin Arrested for Monday Stabbing Death of Amber Lynette Kent

A woman fatally stabbed in Southeast DC Monday morning has been identified as 28-year-old Amber Lynette Kent. Police have arrested 31-year-old Cydrisse Marcha-Marie Alvin in connection with the crime. Both women are from Southeast DC.

Alvin is suspected of second-degree murder while armed.

Arrest Made in Homicide in the 3400 Block of 13th Place, SE

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in the fatal stabbing which occurred in the 3400 block of 13th Place, SE.

On Monday, June 4, 2012, at approximately 9:00 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the 3400 block of 13th Place, SE for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they located an adult female suffering from apparent stab wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where she subsequently succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent is identified as 28-year-old Amber Lynette Kent of Southeast, DC.

On Monday, June 04, 2012, at approximately 1:35pm, 31-year-old Cydrisse Marcha-Marie Alvin of Southeast, DC was arrested and charged with Murder Two while Armed by members of the Homicide Branch for the stabbing death of Amber Lynette Kent.
