WJLA reports that police believe a robbery was the motive of a crime that killed Hae Soon Lim, also known as “June” and “Grace,” early this morning at her H Street deli.

MPD officials say that Hae Soon Lim, a Rockville Resident, was found dead inside the Grace Deli, in the 700 block of H Street NE, at about 6:30 a.m. Police say she had been shot in the neck.
The gate to the deli was partially open when they arrived at the crime scene, police say. Authorities believe the attempted robbery and shooting happened as Lim was opening her store.

Detectives found June Lim inside the store next to another employee. Police are investigating her death as a homicide.
Police have not established a motive, but one theory, according to Lim’s son, is that someone approached Lim as she was unloading supplies for the day and attempted to rob her.
