SE DC Shooting Victim Identified as Jimi Imur Pendleton

A man found dead in Southeast DC early Friday morning has been identified as 33-year-old Jimi Imur Pendleton, MPD said in a press release Saturday night.

Officers found Pendelton shot at about 1:17 Friday morning; he was declared dead at the scene.

Decedent Identified in the Homicide: 2300 Block of Park Place, SE

(Washington, DC)- Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting in the 2300 block of Park Place, SE.

On Friday, July 27, 2012, at approximately 1:17 am units from the Sixth District responded for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male who was unconscious and unresponsive suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and determined that the victim had no signs consistent with life. The decedent was transported to Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where he was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 33 year-old Jimi Imur Pendleton of Southeast DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
