A man was shot and killed near the Anacostia Freeway Thursday afternoon. Reports say another man got out of a car and shot him, then drove off.
The Washington Times reports police are looking for a “black four-door Toyota Camry with Pennsylvania license plates.”
The shooter is described as a young black man in a black jacket and white shirt who got out of the Toyota and shot the man, then got back into the car with another person and drove away. The car was last seen headed towards Interstate 295, which is about a block from the site of the shooting.
A witness told the Washington Post the victim, who has not been publicly identified, was “a man in his early 30s who grew up in River Terrace and had hung out there in recent years.”
MPD has not yet issued an official press release in the case.
