A double stabbing early Saturday morning inside the Woodley Park Metro station on Connecticut Avenue has left one man dead.
NBC Washington reports that five people are in custody in connection with the stabbing and that a knife was found on the tracks inside the station.

According to authorities, one victim stabbed in the stomach was initially in serious condition and a short time later, pronounced dead at the hospital. The other victim, who was stabbed in the face, was also hospitalized but in stable condition.
Police add there was a third victim with a broken nose.
5 p.m. Update: Police will hold a press conference to discuss this incident at 5:45 p.m. at MPD headquarters (300 Indiana Avenue NW).
