A shooting aboard a Metrobus near 19th Street and Minnesota Avenue Southeast has killed one woman and sent a four-year-old child to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, NBC Washington reports.

A witness told Darcy Spencer that he heard “about four shots.”
WUSA reports that the suspect was described “as a black male with dreads who was wearing an orange jacket.”
The slain woman is the mother of the injured child, WTOP reports.
