Comment of the Day: ‘Once you die or go to jail for the rest of your life, you lose the chance to make it better’

Anonymous for good reason writes about Lucki Pannell:

OMG! I’m in tears right now! I was just talking about Lucki yesterday and started crying. This is so bittersweet. On one hand I’m happy that this person was caught. On the other hand, nothing will bring her back. Those of us who loved her will miss and grieve her always. Such a tragedy all around. Hopefully her sisters and her mom can breathe a sigh of relief because Lucki can finally rest in peace. l miss her so much…

The same reader added a day later:

How incredibly horrible! These kids went to elementary school together! I will never have any understanding. I watched them grow up, interacted with them daily and could never have predicted that they would cross paths in this way. I can’t for the life of me comprehend how you all are killing each other over a neighborhood beef? With your whole life ahead of you, you let crime take precedence over college, vacation, marriage and kids. Once you die or go to jail for the rest of your life, you lose the chance to make it better? Why can’t you all see that? This entire situation has me rethinking my career cause I can’t deal right now…

Police arrested a suspect, Deangelo Williams, who was ordered held on first-degree murder charges Saturday. Williams’ arrest was the culmination of a two-year investigation into the case.
