Thursday Morning Shooting Victim Identified as Andre Wilson

A man who was fatally shot in Northwest D.C. Thursday morning has been identified as 26-year-old Andre Wilson.

Metropolitan police found Wilson in the 1100 block of 1st Place Northwest around 3:30 a.m. Thursday suffering from gunshot wounds; he later died at a local hospital.

A second victim in that shooting was treated at the hospital and released.

Homicide: 1100 Block of 1st Place, Northwest

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 1100 block of 1st Place, Northwest.

On Thursday, June 6, 2013 at approximately 3:47 am, patrol officers from the First District responded to the 1100 block of 1st Place, Northwest for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported both shooting victims to a local hospital. The first shooting victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The second shooting victim was treated and released.

The decedent is identified as 26 year-old Andre Wilson of Northwest, Washington, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
