Wesley Monroe Arrested in Connection with Quentin White Murder

A Northeast D.C. man has been arrested in connection with the June 22 shooting death of 28-year-old Quentin White.

White was found in the 3500 block of East Capitol Street Southeast suffering from a gunshot wound; he later died at a local hospital.

Wesley Monroe, 21, was arrested Friday by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force; he has been charged with first-degree murder while armed in connection with White’s death.

Arrest Made in Homicide: 3500 Block of East Capitol Street, SE

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the fatal shooting which occurred in the 3500 block of East Capitol Street, SE.

On Saturday, June 22, 2013 at approximately 12:44 am, officers from the Sixth District responded to the 3500 block of East Capitol Street, SE for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent is identified as 28 year-old Quentin Lavar White of Southeast, Washington, DC.

On Friday, July 5, 2013, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 21-year-old Wesley Monroe of Northeast, DC, charging him pursuant to an arrest warrant for First Degree Murder while Armed for the homicide of Quentin Lavar White.
