The victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in Southeast D.C. Thursday has been identified as 25-year-old Torrence Joseph Allen.
A little before 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Allen was found in the 4100 block of Wheeler Road SE, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He later died at the hospital.

Homicide: 4100 Block of Wheeler Road, SE
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 4100 block of Wheeler Road, SE.
On Thursday, August 8, 2013, at approximately 7:49 pm, Seventh District patrol officers received a radio assignment for a shooting in the 4100 block of Wheeler Road, SE. Upon their arrival, the officers discovered a male victim suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The decedent is identified as 25-year-old Torrence Joseph Allen of no fixed address.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
